LMU Mentoring at the Faculty of Social Sciences

The aim of the program (Content in German)is to support young scientists with the long-term career goal of becoming professors, who have a high potential for scientific excellence but who require support due to structural disadvantages (e.g. in connection with gender, chronic illness/disability, family and nursing responsibilities, migration or educationally distant family background, language, employment relationships etc.). The support lasts one year and includes discussions with the mentor, workshops and trainings as well as a budget for travel, material and personnel resources of approx. 2,500 €. The Graduate Center of the LMU also offers young post-docs the opportunity to attend events, such as workshops on supervising doctoral students.
