Study Day and General Assembly
Once a year, the Department of Sociology organizes a study day for doctoral students at which a MuGSS General Assembly is convened. The study day should be framed by an external scientific lecture and should provide space for self-organized event formats of the doctoral students, such as issues of good scientific practice and research ethics.
Committees
The MuGSS is chaired for a period of two years by a member of the department's board as spokesperson. The spokesperson convenes the MuGSS steering committee for a meeting once a semester. The committee consists of a further professor of the department, a doctoral and a nondoctoral member of the department’s mid-level faculty as well as a member of the MuGSS who is not employed at the department.
